Last week we entered a Year 9 and Year 10 Boys Netball team in the Newcastle Schools Cup competition. This was our first time entering this competition.
The boys all played extremely well in every game, with a few wins had between both teams. It was great to see the boys really enthused and keen to get in and have a go, in a sport they had not played, other than in PE. Some basketball skills came into play at times and sometimes these skills paid off.
Thank you, Miss Hill, for training and taking the boys to this event. To our student umpires and assistant coaches, a big thank you for the time you put in with the boys and encouragement you gave them on the day.
It really was a great day for all, and something new and exciting to participate in. The boys all enjoyed themselves and encouraged each other throughout the day. We look forward to the next competition for boys netball.
