Student Achievement – Netball

Well done to Natasha & Lilly who won their netball grand final, playing in the Seniors Division 8 competition at Wyong last term!

Student Achievement – Congratulations to Tynisha F of Year 12 2024!

We are thrilled to announce that Tynisha recently returned from the Cook Islands, where she played for the U21 Samoa National Netball team in the U21 Netball World Youth Cup Qualifiers. Competing against teams from Fiji, PNG, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, Tynisha and her team went undefeated all week and clinched the grand final victory against Tonga with a score of 53-44!

This incredible achievement means that Tynisha and her Samoan team have now qualified to compete in Gibraltar, Spain next year as one of the 20 countries in the Netball World Youth Cup 2025.

Tynisha, as you prepare for this exciting tournament in Gibraltar, we at the college wish you and your team all the best. This is an amazing opportunity, and we have no doubt you will continue to shine on the international stage. Enjoy every moment of this journey!

Broken Bay Rugby and Girls AFL Gala Day

What an incredible day at the Broken Bay Boys Rugby Union and Girls AFL Intermediate Gala Day! Huge congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and sportsmanship. Days like these, filled with students playing sport, are truly the best! The weather was perfect, and so are our students!

A big thank you to our amazing coaches, Mr. Gallen, Mr. Philpot, and Mr. Underwood. Your time and dedication do not go unnoticed, and our students really appreciate you!

A special shout-out to our Junior Rugby Union team for bringing home the trophy!

The boys in the Rugby 7s competition at Rat Park, Warriewood, were outstanding. Led by our captain, Archie H, the team remained undefeated all day and clinched a hard-fought victory against St. Edwards in the final!

Your dedication and teamwork truly shone on the field. We’re so proud of you all! Let’s keep the momentum going!

Volleyball Showdown: Teachers vs. Year 12 Students!

What an incredible match we had on the last week of term 3.  The teachers and Year 12 students faced off in a thrilling volleyball game, and it was a nail-biter until the very end. The teachers emerged victorious with a close score of 11-8!

A huge shoutout to both teams for their amazing effort and sportsmanship. The students showed great skill and determination, but the teachers’ experience and teamwork ultimately led them to victory.

Dodgeball – Year 12 v Staff

Today the courts buzzed with excitement as our year 12 students and staff faced off in a thrilling game of dodgeball. The students, agile and quick, darted around the court, dodging the staff’s powerful throws.  Meanwhile, the staff, using their experience and strategic thinking, aimed to outsmart the energetic students.  Cheers and laughter echoed as both sides showcased their skills, with the game swinging back and forth.

In the end it was year 12 that took out the win! The event highlighted the strong community spirit within the College and the joy of friendly competition.

Under 14 Girls League Tag Team – Toukley Hawks: Congratulations on your impressive 24-26 victory! The girls showcased exceptional skill and determination. Special praise to team captains Tayla G. and Chloe S., who led the team to success, alongside Havanna G., Rylee F., Ma’niyah J, Sophie B, Milla A., and Lara N.

Milla A. and Tayla G: What a remarkable weekend for both of you! Following your league tag victory, you delivered a stunning performance in your Rugby League grand final with a final score of 50-0. This extraordinary result is a testament to your hard work and talent. Congratulations to the Toukley Hawks for another well-earned win!

Sophie W. and Isabella Mc. – Blue Haven Raiders: Kudos to you both for your outstanding achievement in winning the 15’s grand final against Wyong. Your performance was exceptional and a proud moment for the Blue Haven Raiders.

A big round of applause to all the girls and their teammates for their dedication and success. Your achievements are a testament to your hard work, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Student Achievement – Halle B

We are so proud of Halle (Year for being one of the 18 selected from across Australia to join the Under 16’s Australian Indigenous Oztag team! Despite a close loss to New Zealand in the semi-finals, playing at such a high level is a huge win for her and the team.

Over three days and seven intense games, Halle represented her culture with pride.

Weekend victories for our sports stars!

This past Saturday was a day of triumph and excitement for our school community!

The Under 14s soccer team from Doyalson-Wyee Wolves Soccer Club emerged victorious in their grand final against Umina in a thrilling match. They proudly took home medals for being first in their division! Special shoutout to Jett, Benji, Noah (Year 7), and Aiden, Emily (Year from St Brigid’s who played a crucial role in the win.

Isabella Mc and Sophie W (year Eight) who play for the Blue Haven raiders 15/s also won their grand final Saturday

Fepaki F played in the Grand final for Blue Haven Raiders Under 15s Division 2 and came out victorious!

Bethany, Peyton and her team, the Blue Haven Raiders, clinched the premiership finals for the Under 13 Girls Rugby league, with Bethany shining as the Player of the Match!

 

The Northern Lakes Warriors also celebrated a fantastic win, defeating the Umina Bunnies 26-16 to secure the premiership. A big round of applause for the Year 7 boys from St Brigid’s: Hayden L, Andreas T, Marshall L, Kai P, Nathaniel C, Isaac B, Harper R, and Jake S for their incredible performance!

Let’s take a moment to celebrate our students’ outstanding community achievements! A special shoutout to all of our other students who are wrapping up their weekend sports seasons for the year.

Homebush Athletics

Our team of 32 students truly shone at the athletics meet held at Homebush. Despite the long day, with many competitors facing extended waits between events or traveling down for just one competition, our athletes gave their all and made us proud. The weather was perfect—sunny with no strong winds—creating an ideal environment for performance.
