Student Achievement – Seth T

Well done to Seth T who has been selected to represent Australia at the World Junior Motocross Championship in the Netherlands next month!

Alongside this amazing achievement, Seth has also:

Won the 85cc 12-16 Promx Nationals a few weeks ago.

AND took home the 85cc 12-16 State Championship over the weekend.

Seth is taking on a tough race in the Netherlands, being one of the youngest in the group, but he is ready for the challenge!

Well done Seth and we cannot wait to hear about your overseas adventure!

Swimming Superstar

Kye Mc has had an incredibly successful and fulfilling two days of competition with Catholic Schools NSW!

Qualifying for the School Sport Australia Championship in Queensland, this is a significant accomplishment and a testament to his hard work and dedication to his swimming. Being named the boys’ 14 years Age champion at the NSW CCC Championship further highlights his talent and determination.

Kye is feeling incredibly proud of his achievements, and rightfully so! It’s wonderful to hear about young athletes thriving and enjoying the fruits of their labour.

Boys Rugby League

Another incredible day of rugby league for our under 15 boys team! Mr Philpot’s supervision and coaching undoubtedly contributed to the team’s success, along with the effective communication between players and coach. Competing in two games against other schools on the central coast added a thrilling and diverse element to their experience.

Congratulations to Finn S on earning player of the day, Finn’s consistent performance throughout the day made a significant impact.

It’s heartwarming to receive support from our parents, as their encouragement truly has a significant difference.

A special thank you to Alexah K for joining us to assist and support the team alongside Mr. Philpot. Her valuable knowledge and experience were a fantastic asset during the event.

Under 13 NRL

Once again NRL Central Coast organised an exciting event with the Under 13 boys Rugby League Gala Day at Morry Breen Oval! Despite the initial concern about the weather, it was great day that went ahead smoothly, allowing the boys to compete in three games against other local high schools and making the semi-finals.

Over all the boys played well as a team and become stronger as a team with each game. It’s fantastic that Mr. Peterson and Ms. Churat had such a positive experience with the team, and their pride in the boys’ performance shines through.

Best wishes to the Under 15 boys for their upcoming match on the 29th at Morry Breen Oval!

Student Achievement – Seth T

We are thrilled to recognise the remarkable achievement of one of our Year 7 students in Motocross! Seth T is a factory Junior motocross rider for Gasgas Australia.

Seth is currently leading in the NSW State titles for 12-16 years 85cc with just one round remaining next month. Seth is also tied for 1st place in the ProMx Nationals Championship! After winning the recent round in South Australia, he aims to qualify for the opportunity to represent Australia in the Netherlands!

Congratulations Seth. St Brigid’s are very proud of your accomplishments and good luck in your next race!

Broken Bay Cross Country

We had some remarkable achievement from the St. Brigid’s team at the Broken Bay Cross Country event! Transitioning to Gosford Racecourse from St. Ives Showground was a significant change, but it’s clear that out team adapted well and excelled. Congratulations to all the team members for their hard work and dedication on the day.

Special congratulations are in order for Jariah R and Isaiah R for their outstanding performances, securing first place in their respective age categories with impressive leads. And hats off to Oliver K, Chase B, Jack, and Tom M for their top placements, earning spots on the Broken Bay team for the CSNSW competition in early June.

A big thank you goes out to Miss Ardern and Mrs. Cannon for their support and assistance during the event. It’s wonderful to see such dedication from the staff and the joy they experience in supporting the students.

Open Soccer

Congratulations to both our open soccer teams for their commendable performance last week! Despite the weather challenges and venue changes, it’s wonderful to hear that the girls had a fantastic day out and enjoyed themselves while giving it their all on the field.

As for the boys, it sounds like they put in an exceptional effort, especially in their close match against St Edward’s in the semifinals. Though they faced a tough loss, they can be proud of their hard work and sportsmanship!

A special shoutout to Riley M and Liam W for their selection in the Possible and Probable games! While they didn’t make it onto the Broken Bay team this time, participating in the trial process is a valuable experience that will undoubtedly contribute to their growth as players.

Keep up the great work, and who knows what opportunities lie ahead in soccer for them!

Broken Bay Rugby League Representative

Congratulations to Ryda, Bailey, Archie, and Alexah for their impressive performance at the Metro trials! Making it to the representative level is a significant accomplishment and a testament to their dedication and skill in rugby league. It’s wonderful to hear that they represented Broken Bay so admirably.
