Well done to our college Sailors; Samuel D of Year 9, Issac A of Year 10 and Lucy L and Emily H of Year 12! They participated in the NSW CHS Secondary Schools Sailing Championships during the first week of the holidays. It was an event to remember!
Sam and Emily’s performance on the Hobie 18 was simply impressive, winning all five races and securing the top spot in both their class and the multi-hulls division.
Isaac and Lucy showcased their sailing skills as well, with Isaac finishing 4th in the ILCA 6 class and Lucy securing 5th place.
We are thrilled to announce that St Brigid’s Catholic College took home the 1st place in the CHS Sailing School Team category. A fantastic result!
A special shoutout to Lucy and Emily for their remarkable six-year journey with St Brigid’s in CHS Sailing, culminating in such a triumphant event! Your dedication and hard work have paid off! We hope you keeping sailing towards success!
Congratulations Archie A and Jayden A from Year 8, who recently made their debut appearance at the representative level in touch football for Broken Bay.
Their hard work, dedication, and skill have brought them to this significant milestone. It is a clear reflection of their exceptional talent and commitment to the sport.
We hope you both enjoyed every moment on the field, absorbing the experience and will continue to aim high and strive for greatness.
Despite the challenging weather conditions on the day, the boys gave their all.
The tournament continued into Wednesday and the Broken Bay Under 15 boys team advanced to the semifinals where they were defeated by the Parramatta diocese.
Well done Archie and Jayden! We feel like your journey is just beginning!
The final week of Term 1 was a busy one for everyone, but it was even more so for Kye Mc, who was battling it out in the pool at the National Age Championships on the Gold Coast!
Thanks to Cathy, Kye’s supportive mum, we were able to witness Kye’s impressive performance in the pool. The Championships were live-streamed on 9now, and Cathy kindly shared the schedule with us. From Mr Murdoch’s office to the Boardroom, Staffroom and even the playground, we all tuned in to watch Kye compete in the 400m Freestyle and his favourite event, the 200m Freestyle.
Kye’s performance was nothing short of spectacular and we believe he broke some of his personal bests, which is an amazing feat at a national level. It was very exciting to be able to rally behind Kye from the College.
We are all immensely proud of Kye’s accomplishments in the pool. Keep making waves Kye!
Please join us once again in congratulating Kye of Year 9 on his most recent achievements at SOPAC. Last week Kye placed in the following events on the Broken Bay swim team and progressed through to the NSW All Schools Championship in the Catholic Schools NSW Swim Team. Kye will compete at these championships on both the 30th and 31st of May. This will be two massive days for Kye in the pool and in the days leading up to these events.
Kye is currently in QLD competing in the National Age Championship. We wish Kye the very best of luck at National Age Championship and NSW All Schools Championships.
Kye is proving to be a force to be reconned with in the pool and he is not slowing down. As we have said before, we are all very proud of Kye and his achievements. Keep it up, well done and good luck!

Jade P from Year 9 and Sienna B from Year 10 showcased their exceptional talent and dedication in netball at last weekend’s 2024 Your Local Club Regional Academy Games in Wagga Wagga.
Despite being from different divisions, both girls left a lasting impression.
Jade’s team displayed an impressive streak, remaining undefeated throughout the competition. Sienna’s team also demonstrated remarkable skill, losing just two games over the entire weekend.
The girls were part of a 120+ strong team of athletes, representing the Central Coast Academy of Sport across a range of sports.
A big congratulations to both Jade and Sienna on your outstanding achievement. We are immensely proud.
It was a successful day for Broken Bay trials under 15 boys and under 16 girls rugby league last week. It was a later start for the boys followed by the girls and it was a very warm day. It’s commendable that our 13 students who self-nominated for selection, showing their enthusiasm and dedication to the sport they love playing. Our students presented themselves well on and off the field, it was lovely to be able to sit and watch our students on the field during trials.
Best of luck to the following student who were successful in making the Broken Bay team on their future matches against the Diocese of Parramatta these games will take place at Morry Breen Oval.
