On Wednesday the 26th of July our under 16 girls participated in for the first time the Isabelle Kelly Cup (Katrina Fanning) Female Rugby League. What a great day it was for all involved. Our girls had the opportunity to be a part of a tackle clinic run by the NRL Development staff prior to games kicking off.
The girls did really well winning 2 of their 3 games and just missing out on the semi-finals rounds due to count back. To say we were all disappointed would be an understatement. Watching the girls play as a team on the day was the best win we could ask for and it was lovely to be part of the day. The talent from our girls was strong and they held their own each and every game.
Thanks to Mr Philpot for his help training and coaching the girls leading up to the day. We look forward to the next gala day and can’t wait to see what happens next year.
