On Wednesday, our Aboriginal students attended the Pathways Through Stories Muru 2024 excursion.

Students began their journey with a traditional smoking ceremony and a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country, setting a respectful and sacred tone for the day. They listened intently to stories shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, learning about deep connections to community and the rich tapestry of experiences that shape their cultures.

The excursion also included engaging bush tucker talks, where students discovered the significance and uses of native plants and foods. Additionally, they explored Indigenous art, gaining insights into the symbolism and stories behind the vibrant artworks. This immersive experience fostered a greater appreciation and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage.
