National Sorry Day is known as a day of healing, it is held on the 26th of May each year. It is to remember and acknowledge the mistreatment of the countries Indigenous peoples, particularly the forced removal of Indigenous children from their families, known as the stolen generation.
Our students have been working hard to make a sea of hands as part of our recognition of the importance of this day for our Darkinjung and Awabakal community. Together we move forward, building a better future for generations to come.
