Year 12 Smoking Ceremony and Graduation Mass

By October 18, 2024 No Comments

At the end of last Term we held a smoking ceremony and graduation mass.

The Year 12 smoking ceremony and graduation mass is a profound and memorable event that marks the culmination of students’ high school journey. The smoking ceremony, led by an Indigenous elder, serves as a powerful cultural ritual that cleanses and prepares the students for their transition into adulthood, honouring the land and its traditions.

The graduation mass brought the school community together in a solemn and celebratory service, where students reflected on their achievements, expressed gratitude, and received blessings for their future endeavours. This blend of cultural and spiritual elements creates a unique and meaningful farewell, leaving a lasting impression on our students.
